Yeah. Chalk another one up for the old alma mater (see also: This American Life 396).
Guess I was just lucky to have a mostly nomadic childhood so I'm inoculated against the misty-eyed PSU helmetball worship so common amongst folks from my current neck of the woods. I wish I could say I find this kind of behavior shocking, but I skulked around main campus for four years. I know.
Also in slightly-less-than-shocking news...local media coverage is wall-to-wall JoePa. Hearts and minds, huh? The governor's busy destroying health care, public schools, and anything that stands in the way of rapacious energy companies, but...PSU football!
Sigh.
